The good news- VCU's SGA twitter and facebook accounts are reporting that they will be covering transportation and lodging for 100 VCU students to go to San Antonio. The students have to cover the cost of the tickets themselves. Which is awesome.

The bad news- it's going to be a lottery, which IMO stinks. VCU Athletics has a great system in place with the 6th Man Rewards to reward the most dedicated students, and has already tracked how many Athletic Events they have attended this year.

If it ends up being 100 westendsitters, I may get more annoyed.

Oh to be a student again!

But glad they are stepping up and getting kids there!

I agree. You should reward the dedicated student fans. Idk how you do it but there should be a way with at least half of the tickets.

Well in terms of students, theres an easy way to figure it out.

1. Check the list of students to see who has been to the most games.

Start with the Rowdy Rams/SRAF group who had to pay $25 for that an if theres less then 180 students in there, then look at the rest and take the remaining from the people who attended the most games

Man a trip to San Antonio. To see VCU make more history. Talk about a dream come true if it happened.

Reward the hard core students with half of the allotment. The rest, luck of the draw.

Completely agree. The ones who went to 20+(that includes women's) need to be there. If they show up for that many VCU sports they need to be there.
