Freshman Ben Eblen has been a pleasant surprise for Crimson Tide off bench

TUSCALOOSA -- Before Anthony Grant notified the public that he was leaving Virginia Commonwealth to take the head basketball coaching job at Alabama, he phoned VCU signee Ben Eblen.
It wasn't news the recruit wanted to hear.
"Of course, I was disappointed at the time," Eblen said. "But I understood he had to do what was best for him and his family. And I had to do what was best."
What was best for Eblen, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Melbourne, Fla., was to ultimately follow Grant to an SEC program that otherwise wouldn't have signed him. As it turned out, Eblen is the one player on Grant's first UA basketball team that was not inherited and is unique to the Crimson Tide's new coaching staff.
"They say, I guess, good things fall apart so bad things can fall together," Eblen said. "So it worked out well. I'm playing (at) a great school with a great system and a great tradition with a great coach."
Editred to remove the rest of the article - sorry - what again is the rules for quoting? As long as I posted the source correct?
