thought this was interesting:

Asked about a potential lineup, particularly with four starters back from last year's team, Grant replied "I don't have any returning starters. I left all those guys at VCU."

Yes, he did leave them all at VCU, but from what I understand it wasn't for a lack of trying. I really hope we start the Alabama series next year so the majority of his recruits have an opprotunity to play against him. I am sure he will put it off as long as possible though.

Just me...or does he seem much more open and media friendly?
Here's an extra million....smile.

:D .....where's my million?!

Seriously, I just don't get the complete turn around. I understand there's more of an expectation to be the face of a large program, but it seems to easy. When Grant was here he was King of the 'Canned' response, and darn near never smilled. Now he's the KoolAid man!

Speaking of Anthony Grant he will face off against Franck Ndongo and the Augusta State Jaguars who are ranked #8 in the nation on 11/10

Interesting...I thought Franck was still on campus as a student. Guess he was actually forced out of the program so to speak...or decided he wanted a better option to play. Says he is Jr.....thought he graduated with a degree??? but to be truthful....after three years of constantly being injured with little to no playing time I think it was better for him to go. I never understood the people here this spring/summer who were touting him as the second coming of our defense and offense. I never saw that in him.

He had athleticism and the long arms to excel in the press he had a decent shot but for some reason it just never came together.

The Pitt game was him showing his full potential

He did graduate, but since he redshirted his last year at VCU he still has 2 years of eligibility remaining. I guess it was just easier to list him as a Jr. on the web site to reflect his remaining eligibility.

Correct. Frank is working on getting his PhD.

Pretty sure he made the same 11 freshmen comment when he took over VCU.
