Green City

Look like a nice venue, but if you look at the concert lineup they are definitely targeting a narrow demographic.
I'll take the free shows, and always will love Dogwood dell. Here's their lineup for this year, which looks nice.

I looked at the line up. Back when I lived in Amarillo, Texas I saw that Dwight Yoakam was playing at a little dance hall downtown. I was not familiar with his music but I knew he was a somewhat authentic young artist. The little dance hall was more like a dive bar. I had a blast. He was great and the atmosphere was cinematic in a David Lynch kind of way. I had a PBR. Heineken?! F*ck that sh*t! Pabst Blue Ribbon! Just kidding.. That was a Lynch reference. I probably had a Lone Star. The bar had a circular floor around a bar and people were boot scootin' around it. Later on I saw him pop up in the movie Sling Blade.

Are Boyz II Men, Dwight Yokum, and 38 Special the same demo?
I have no idea. But I might see 38 special but Dwight would be on the edge and not interested in Men acting like boys II.

I would go see Tedeschi Truck with Little Feat, Dave Mathews, Neil Young, AKUS, Mumford and Sons, and perhaps Wide Spread Panic if I lived up in Richmond.

One of my favorite live acts ever. Saw them many, many times but only before Lowell died. That was a long long time ago
Lowell George was with Frank Zappa but he got canned from Mothers of Invention because Zappa saw some lyrics he had written. He was not mad about it. He just knew Lowell was too talented to be playing in a band. He needed to start his own. Hayward was in the band that had the hit song Don't Bogart that Joint. Never do that by the way. Take a hit and pass it along. Little Feat was something else. Hippie, Zydeco, Southern Rock. Good stuff.
