Greivis Vasquez Jersey to Hang From the Rafters

The University of Maryland is hanging Greivis Vasquez's jersey from the rafters, acknowledging him as one of their greatest players. I will never forget Amazing and that "Other Guy" dominating him in the BB&T tourney at the Verizon Center. What a special moment and a memory to treasure.

i know most people consider vasquez a trash talking hot dog, but it's really a great thing to see his jersey get retired. the guy always played with passion, returned to school to get his degree during pre-draft workouts, and came from a VERY modest upbringing in venezuela. IMO this is truly what college basketball is all about. to see him and his family celebrate like lottery winners when he got draft last year was a great thing. i'll always root for this guy.

that said, yes it was awesome seeing maynor totally dog him in the second half of that game.
