OVERVIEW:
VCU has built themselves a mid-major niche where they can enter the tourney bubble discussion each year despite losing the CAA. This season, thanks in part to a wonderfully balanced offense, the Rams have built another fine resume worth snubbing. Road wins have been hard to come by and they tend to lose focus at the worst times which is what pushed them back into the pack this season, but none of this justifies the fan-base rumbles for a wrong-headed move away from the CAA. While some Ram faithful will sing the rich history of the program consisting of recounts of favorite Kendrick Warren dunks, in truth, VCU is living off the recent ghost of Eric Maynor, much like GW milked the unsung legacy of Carl Elliott.

That's a pretty solid preview, especially the breakdown of the game coming from a school that had no connection to us all season. The only thing I disagree on is giving the "Bench" advantage to GW. We can make wholesale changes and not see a huge drop in the level of play. Obviously Joey and Larry are the key 1 and 2 top players, but the difference between 3 and 10 is not all that significant. I could just be bias though haha.

It is funny how they wrote about our grumblings with the CAA. That means people pay attention to what we say on here :o

Who's Carl Elliot?
