Why are we wasting $60,000 for a home game? Students are gone and the attendance will be 300. Just play on the road and save the school money since the tournament pays for the travel. Kvancz should spend the money instead on chartering flights to weekday away games next season.

I think it's great. If it costs $60,000 to play, so be it. That is money spent now that could help us in the future. And frankly, I don't really care how the school spends it's money. I just want to see games.

No idea who we'll play, but it will be great for us few die-hard fans to get to see us play a decent lower-level BCS team like UVA or South Carolina or even a good mid-major like VCU or Hofstra or Fairfield. If we play in the tourney, I will enjoy it and I'll root for us to win and continue racking up experience.

I'm guessing Larry Sanders goes for a triple double. Ex-recruits have hurt us this year.

This is great. VCU is probably the best team in this thing besides St. Louis. Very glad our kids are getting to play them. I just hope that rumors of some players wanting to pack it in rather than win are overstated.

Gonna pull a 'nanner on this one and say "JUST WIN".

VCU should be the favorite in this tournament...so no excuses for coming out of this thing with anything but a championship trophy.

Yeah, I am a little worried about a let down due to not being in the NIT. Hopefully the team will be focused and we will build some confidence on the road going into next season.

The forums there are so 10 years ago. As bad as the UCLA ones I tried to read last year.

Also found this gem:
If we beat VCU on Tuesday, it will have been the highest ranked team RPI wise (61) who we have beaten all season. It is certainly by far the highest RPI ranked non conference home game we will have ever played. And, who knows, maybe if both teams have fun, perhaps they will play again in a meaningful game. (C'mon, all, this is nothing more than an end of season exhibition game...but I still love it). Our RPI is a not very good 150.

actually we should play GW anyway; we haven't been to the Smith Center since "The Game" back in the day.
