I believe it came from Shaka himself. Maybe not in those exact words, but I recall hearing something to that effect from him either in a post game presser or the radio show.

OK, now the latest catch phrase I've heard multiple times is Shaka "underestimated the CAA." Where is that coming from? That's based on what?

I believe Shaka said (think I read it somewhere) that he/his staff underestimated the SIZE of CAA players. I read that somewhere with regard to his recruiting players or something along those lines.

Again it was about player size being under estimated....not under estimating the CAA. Plus I don't/can't find that reference so I am going solely on memory.

But regardless of size - if we lose larry this summer, I don't believe we will do as well next year as we have done this year. We will lose all our inside edge (unless someone steps up) and our perimeter shooting is limited to beyond the arc in most cases. Not to mention we will be hurting for Rebs. I don't see Haley doing anything of consequence next year in the paint for us. Santil and Skeen would have to really step it up.

It's hard to take your thoughts seriously if you're referencing players you can't name to support your opinion about our team being loaded. If you can't even name them its hard to imagine you know much about the new guys.

I think one of our posters uses the quote play for the name on the front of the Jersey not the back. And who can forget the great Willie Shakespeare's a rose by any other name. . .

In case you dont get it, it doesnt matter if I name Veal and the other kid by name as long as they come and play well. At the end of the day no one in the CAA should have the type of talent VCU has.

Knowing a players name has nothing to do with assessing his potential. If a scout stated that the tall kid at VCU with the long arms was a stud would he be any less credible. If someone stated that the point guard at VCU from a year ago was one of the better players the league has would that also not be credible. Would anyone not know who either was referring to? Did you not know that I was referring to Veal or the Wilson?

If you didnt know to whom I refer, perhaps its you who are not knowledgeable about the VCU basketball.

By the way that little point guard who made the all tournament team sure is a tough kid.
