Forgive me for being optimistic, and we likely will drop one or more of these due to sloppy play a la Western Michigan, but if we win our next 5 OOC games against Nevada, Rhode Island, Richmond, Tulane and ECU, is it at all possible that the next ranked team to play in the Stu will be our Rams?

I know it's not likely, but how great would that be to see? Just some wishful thinking I know, but I like to dream sometimes...

One game at a time and good things can happen. This next game may be the toughest on our schedule. And let's not understate when we did against Oklahoma. The Sooners are gonna be a fine team this year and will be Top 15 when March rolls around. It's a big win now and it'll look even bigger later on.

I feel like if the order was reversed, with Skeen in for the first two instead of the latter two, we'd have a better shot. As it is, what VRam said....

You know, Skeen would really help and TJ's limited by his height, but TJ's also been playing very, very well.

Nevada, Rhode island, and Richmond. Plus Tulane- on the road. Ouch. Not gonna happen. If it did happen, we'd be on our way to a National Ranking shortly thereafter. But it won't happen.

Nevada dropped 112 points on Houston a few days ago. We better be ready on tghe defensive end.

Teams out west play poop defense. All the toughness is on the east coast.

Anything is possible, Richmond struggled with Longwood tonight on their homecourt. If they play with the same intensity of Saturdays game, they can beat anyone on the schedule.

I love the power of positive thinking, but if we continue to play as we did against Hampton University, we aren't going to win many of those games much less get ran ranked.

So true. Case in point: the Big East is definitely one of the most physical leagues in the country, on both ends. Nevada better be ready to bang, as long as Larry and KP can get a few calls in their favor.

After we lost by 9 at Hampton in 2008 (Maynor had 7 turnovers, Joey had 4), we went on a 5 game winning streak. Three of the five were Maryland, Richmond and Bradley, and two of those were on the road. Anything's possible, but one game at a time.

Honestly we won't get ranked even if we win all of those games. We would have a lot more votes though. Not enough "oomph" in our schedule to garner a top 25 ranking unless we get on a ridiculous winning streak, and/or draw a Butler in the bracketbuster and beat them.
