How are you feeling right now about the team and program?

Now anyone who tells you prior to the season they expected final four, or even elite eight are lying and that includes the entire AD. Well maybe they tnought so with luck. However, most expected a tournament bid for that team. We also expected a win. We thought we had a top 20 team, and that Sweet 16 wasn’t out of the question.

That team had experience, talent, a hot HC, and fan support that was unparalleled in the CAA.

So, I while we were disappointed with their in season performance, we did expect a bid. Both pre-season, and as my friend G-Man stated post season due to our performance against top 100 teams on the road. We just thought we might get passed over because of the 3 letter of our conference.

Yeah, that was a talented group with high expectations all along. Really injuries played a big part in the February slump that put an NCAA bid in some doubt and made us last 4 in.

I liked his game a lot. Then Brad came in, took some of his mins and ended up having the career that I thought Kearse was capable of. Lance had some health issues as well that he finally figured out and had a decent career at a DII school.

I was really big on Samir. The way he was playing when he first got here I thought he had a real shot to be our first 2,000 point scorer and get a triple double at some point. Maybe Max will get a triple double but I doubt if we ever see a 2,000 point scorer.

Oh man, I loved Samir. He was the real deal.

Mr. Douglas Brooks was another all-timer. Glad to be right about him.

Love Doug Brooks! We were a grand total of 0.4 seconds from missing the NCAA’s his senior season. His heads up play saved that win and our at-large bid that season. He’ll always be a VCU legend in my book.

Watching early season conf teams (haven’t seen everyone), St Joe’s and Dayton have been impressive against high quality competition. Loyola seems improved, and upside on new edition/coach for St Louis. In all, while early, the A10 eye test is looking much improved for the top of the league this year. We have a lot of work to do. It’s going to be a major lift for us to win conf., but I remain optimistic.

I think it's too early to tell. St. Joe's has a loss to Central Connecticut State. Both Dayton and VCU went 1-2 in their MTE's. St. Bonaventure plays Utah State later today. Loyola Chicago and Rhode Island haven't really played anyone yet. Then there is fur that has tanked so far and fmason that also has pretty muched tanked so far.

Dayton is at #25 in kenpom and VCU at #40. After those two, Loyola Chicago comes in at #80, Rhode Island at #87, St. Joe's at #93 and fmason at #94 in the top 100. The A-10 still has some work to do to make it a multi-bid league again.
 
Dayton looks really really good. They went 1-2 in their tournament but played major competition very closely and looked great doing so. Then they crushed UConn. At this point they look like the best team in the conference.
