We should be 25-4 or 26-3.

@AlienAiden was just a freshman!I can now say with some degree of certainty that this is at least one of the best VCU teams of all time.
VCU is 24-5 which ties the best W-L record thru 29 games in VCU and the best in 40 years. The 80-81 and 84-85 teams were the last one to do it.
Saw you courtside! If anyone deserved those great seats it’s you and your wife.PROUD. This team is playing loose, and having fun out there, and VERY effectively so. An up close experience like we had tonight (closer than ever for us), they don't yell at each other when/if things dont go right they shrug off mistakes and move on quickly. As far as we can see there's no/little bad vibes. The key to success is keeping your head straight- they've got the key, that's what they have going on right now.
Their maturity is what's running things right now.
VCU could have won the Seton Hall and Nevada games in Charleston as well as the road Bona game, but easily could have lost the road Dayton game that we won. It goes both ways.We should be 25-4 or 26-3.
If we get past Duquesne next week (Q3 road game), I think we can breathe a sigh of relief because that will be the final landmine on our schedule.I'm actually feeling a little bummed. The way were playing we should be a lock for the tournament. We're still in that zone where one loss could devastate our chances and even winning out there's no guarantee we would get selected. I love how we're playing, hate that we're in this situation of having the thread the needle (again) to dance.
We gotta do better with our OOC schedule!
Of course, if we'd won at Seton Hall we wouldn't have played against Nevada, but I get your point.VCU could have won the Seton Hall and Nevada games in Charleston as well as the road Bona game, but easily could have lost the road Dayton game that we won. It goes both ways.
Unless we find ourselves in a situation where (for example) Richmond. La Salle or Fordham finds a way to get to the quarterfinals against us and an overconfident VCU team slips up in the A10 tournament. Would we be able to survive that?If we get past Duquesne next week (Q3 road game), I think we can breathe a sigh of relief because that will be the final landmine on our schedule.
If we lose a neutral to any of those three we don’t belong in the tournamentUnless we find ourselves in a situation where (for example) Richmond. Thank you, it was honor to do it! Having already chatted about it, we all agree today, it was 100% eye opening! You see a lot there's no way even in good seats you can see, and sitting down that low will give you a new light on how physical a physical game can and will get, not only the contact but impact on their bodies during sudden stops and all. I've seen pickup/HS games that close before, this kind of competitive movement is different. But for the four of us down there, it changed our perspectives for sure! You feel the stomps and hard bounces.Saw you courtside! If anyone deserved those great seats it’s you and your wife.
I hope to have that opportunity at least once in my lifetime.Thank you, it was honor to do it! Having already chatted about it, we all agree today, it was 100% eye opening!
