How are you feeling right now about the team and program?

As a long time Ducks fan i can't go along with that, but I'll tell you that the Ducks fans may be surprised that JMU shows up for that game and represents themselves well. Win? I don't think so. I expect the Ducks will be in the semis (for a rematch with IU, tough one), we'll see if they can improve on the first game with them.

I got them winning it all at +900 a while back.

I'm also a frustrated Ram
resigned to the current state of roster turnover and free agency
resigned to watching the VCU Rams exist in a perpetual state of high end mediocrity...could be worse, I know
Sad about what we've lost as fans of a sport where growth, relationships, and milestones were based on years and not months

I suppose I'm happy enough when it's game day, and a little happier when our guys play well and win....but, last night didn't pi$$ me off like it used to. Not sure what that says about me and my current state of fandom....but I bet it's not good.

In the teaching world, lazy administrators have recently begun asking teachers in August...."What's your WHY" for doing what you do?....it's become a punchline amongst those of us who are in the trenches doing the daily work in an everchanging and (sometimes) pitiless, hostile, and undervalued profession. I suppose the same question is asked of sports fans every day. Maybe we're seeing it with a less than sold out Stu, a less than enthused student section, and a less than cohesive team that will assuredly be playing (mostly) somewhere else next year...

I still love my Rams
and I still enjoy a gameday
and, god help me, I like being part of this VCURN community

So in summation?? Meh, I guess I've been better

Well don’t have to worry with that pesky bubble talk or getting top twenty votes as we continue the slide into irrelevancy…I guess we will need to be satisfied with getting attention in the mid major poll. I have to believe that we had a few swing and misses in the portal and may well have way overpaid for this roster. We had 4 chances to flex our muscles in the OCC…we went 0 for 4.

With all due respect my friend our expectations are much higher….as they should be
Yeah, but we aren't going to win every game. Just not going to happen, and hasn't happened since UNLV back in 90 or 91.

The breaks didn't just go our way last night. I could be wrong, but Belle pretty much shut out Hall the second half didn't he?

For me, it's just too early to start "the sky is falling" talk.

I see a few roster tweaks coming. Some will leave on their own, others may not be asked to come back.

Too early to tell

How do I feel? Like we’re back in the CAA. Beat cupcakes, pull some wins over some average P4, and have to win our conference championship to dance.

I could not have written my feeling any better.

The other teams in the conference need to do their share as well. Such as GW getting whipped by Delaware at home, UR losing to Furman, etc........

At the end of the year unless all the teams that beat us implode, no one is going to be saying these are bad losses.

I've felt this way about VCU MBB for several seasons now. I treated every game like it was very important, but if VCU plays a bad team at home I just pray it's a 20 point + win and I feel like I don't focus on the development of the team. VCU lost last night. Oh well.....
