It's all but a done deal at this point. According to my sources, Nebraska to the Big10 and Missouri will join them.

My source is also confirming a huge deal with the PAC-10 adding Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Colorado. The PAC-10 would become a 16 team league with a mega TV deal worth millions upon millions for each school. The PAC-16 would involve an East and West Division, with Arizona and Arizona State in the East and Cali, Washington, and Oregon Schools in the West.

Baylor is trying to wiggle in with the Texas schools, but it's between them and Colorado and speculation is that Colorado will be taken for geography purposes. The speculation is that the remaining Big12 schools will join the Mountain West Conference.

Huge shake-up to say the least. This could affect conferences all the way across the board.

The Big Ten has cooled on Missouri. Also, the nebraska information is premature. The Big Ten is awaiting word from Notre Dame and they really hold the key to all this. If Notre Dame joins, then the Big Ten will be happy with 12 teams. I think once the Notre Dame time table runs out then all heck will break loose with Nebraska joining. The Big Ten's pecking order seems to be 1) Notre Dame 2) Nebraska 3) Rutgers/Maryland according to Joe Schad I believe

I was told that the Nebraska and Missouri should be joining the Big10. The info could be faulty, but the source came from the AD of one of the current Big12 schools. Either way, the next couple of days could be very interesting indeed. I doubt it affects VCU directly as far as moving up, but the landscape of athletics could change a lot at the top and we might see some shuffling of teams in the CAA, if the A-10 and C-USA get raided by any of the BCS conferences.

The Nebraska stuff is all over ESPN - looks to be a done deal.

The new PAC-10 should take Baylor over Colorado. Better football and basketball (and school). Plus news came today of Colorado not meeting academic standards and will be losing scholarships.

Anyway the cookie crumbles - GO TEXAS!

But which will draw the more money?

Bingo.

ESPN also confirming reports of the PAC-16 with the configuration I posted.

Source telling me that the Big12 and Big East could be done as we know it. The Big East will likely raid the A-10 and C-USA.

Interesting, but take it with a grain of salt. Bleacher Report is the single worst source of information on the internet. Worse than wikipedia.

That set up could also work.

Here that Rao? Step our football game up ASAP or we're gonna end up in the ODAC

Maybe VCU can join a league with the non Div 1 Big East football teams. Villanova, Georgetown, St. John's, etc. Hopefully it works out that way. Regardless, we just may have to start football ASAP.
