I have been a Joey hater in times passed...but I have to admit Joey has played been really recently. Obviously Larry went sick last night but Joey has been a solid contributor the past few games I feel like I should give him his due. He's not eric, but we don't need that...we need Joey. Leadership, hustle players, and those little sneaky layups every once in a while.

just for the sake of argument...shooting % is still a little low but he has steadily improved. Maybe he can talk to jay...

Ever since Sometimes got out of his jock, he's been moving, passing and shooting much better. But even Sometimes didn't hinder his defense. :lol: :lol: ;)

Joeys Defense remained good because he was pissed off that Sometimes was in his jock. He wanted the guy he was guarding to be miserable as well.

Wouldn't you be pissed off too if you had a guy with a Wii tattoo in your jock? :lol:
 
"Boo Boo" was never here here so how can he be back back. I do agree he is playing better, but we need better than his best.

I disagree with this.

Consider that the team he is in charge of doesn't need him to score 15 pts. a night, they need him to dish the rock effectively, and I think he does that. While we have quite a guard heavy team I think most folks on here would agree that we have our best pure talent down low, which is quite different from years even a decade past. Think about this, Joey has like a two and a quarter assist to turnover ratio in an offense which, by its nature, makes it harder to control and not turn the ball over. He's getting 2 and a quarter steals per game as well, this is nothing to sneeze at. While his shot has been suspect for a good part of the season when you factor in all the other things he does so well he stacks up as one of the top pg's in the conference in terms of running the offense he is asked to run.

I probably wasted my time writing this everyone knows nickgeorge will go to his grave h8ing on Joey.
 
I'm not hating on Joey at all, I'm just saying people are too high on him. I love his intensity and hustle, but we need a better point guard. Just to clear this clear this up, Joey is the best option we have right now at the point.
 
i'm not sure why people can't just see joey for who he is. he's a nice little point guard who plays hard, passes well, and will have the occasional offensive outburst. nothing more, nothing less.

news flash: nobody told anyone anything. he's not as good as some make him out to be, and not as bad as other will maintain.

i swear, if this wasn't the forum of extremes, it would be no forum at all.
