You know my friend on the way back from the arena was shocked to see I was calm and not furious about the game. Maybe its because we just got dominated most of the game or the fact that I just didn't think we would come back so I had time to let the loss sink in. Anyway, one thing did upset me after the game and I talked with some other VCU fans about it.
Its been six straight years of the trophy going home with VCU. U of R finally gets it and their fans are out the door before the trophy presentation. Our fans always stay around to watch the the trophy being presented because we care about the rivalry. The U of R team is standing there with the trophy while the students and most of the alumni are already almost in the parking lot.
Give to the U of R basketball team. They were good. However, the Spiders fans shouldn't be allowed around the trophy since they don't care about it apparently.
