A brand-new poll for everyone to vote on:

VCU basketball coach Shaka Smart is:

1. The greatest coach in the history of college basketball

Really, I just wanted to break Rambunctious's stones a little bit. ;)

But this exercise in absurdity, I hope, will illustrate why exactly it is far too soon to go making any grand pronouncements about a man whose career as a head coach is three games old. Just like every other coach, Shaka looks like an idiot when the 3-pointers miss and a genius when they go in. Hopefully the Oklahoma win will make the doubters back off for a while so he can continue to grow and learn in his new position.
 
Wow, taking a pretty big shot there! Relax, nobody has forgotten what AG did for us, just like they haven't forgotten what Capel did for us as well. I just hope AG has Capel's stones and actually honors the contract...

And I did have an option for you to vote "JD Barnett and AG all rolled into 1".

You are right though...let's see how the team does. We were up at home against BCU, we were down on the road against WMU, we were up at home against OU, we will be ???? on the road against Hampton. Really good teams and coaches win on the road. I am rooting for Shaka of course.

You need to realize we hate losing. Esp. to a 10-26 team from last year. Not hard to see why we were so critical.
