That's the definition of fighting through adversity and persevering. Something to be said about winning these close games. GMU may be blowing people out, but they have not played any close CAA games. Advantage has to be with VCU from this perspective.

Mason also doesn't have players playing through injury on a nightly basis.
 
is this a game we should have won? sure, but they never give you the W for what you are on paper, and we took some punches to the chin and gut, and it looked like the kind of game where we... and honestly, many other teams too... might just get staggered and down and lose. But we didn't. We kept grinding, and we battled back. But even then, some things didn't go our way, and we could have pulled up short, thinking it just wasn't our night... but we didn't, we kept grinding, and grinding, and eventually, we beat 'em.

This team drives me crazy. Can we just beat ODU by 20 at home and enjoy the last 10 minutes of the game without sweating? Is that too much to ask? :lol:

What could have been more enjoyable than beating them by nine at the Ted? My feet didn't touch ground for two days.

With a critical helping of Joey. If not for his nine straight points on two threes, and one old fashion three point then later his big shot to put us ahead with less than a minute to play we are bitching, moaning, and complaining this morning.

Skeen was the reason we were close and even in the game, Joey the reason we came back, and Brandon with the big three and free throws, and finally getting a stop and a foul on number 10 the reason we won.
