I'm so tired of talking about Softee and bahzahmore and Blame and ODSitter. We really need to move on and give crap to our Association's and Commonwealth's Greatest Rival. FODU. It's On!! FGMU and JUST WIN!!
 
Yeah, we usually have these rivalry games with ODU in January and February, but we're usually playing GMU for championships come March.
 
YES! Heading up to Fairfax Monday/Tuesday depending on the forecast. I can't wait!
Another stop on the payback tour. Try to avenge our loss the last time @Mason.

Mason's coming off of 2 straight losses to Georgia State at home and Drexel today at the DAC. They are in a mini free-fall after being all alone in first place. They are a young team with a lot of talent, but also a lot of inexperience. I'm sure they will want desperately to turn it around and since VCU only plays Mason this one time, it has heavy tie-breaker implications as well. While Mason is not our rival, I have a healthy respect for the program Coach Larrannaga has assembled up in Fairfax.

The Patriots are notoriously tough at the Patriot Center, but I think with their confidence shaken, we can go up their and steal one. We have the edge in experience and the frontcourt with Larry Sanders. Don't underestimate the psychological effect of losing by 21 points in the CAA championship game. Larry dominated that game and a lot of the Mason players will remember that. They'll be playing for revenge, pride, and a top 4 spot. They won't give us anything, we have to go in there and take it.
 
We need to follow up tonight's big with with another one on Tuesday. If we beat GMU then we will move ahead of them in the standings since we would also lock up the tie breaker.
 
Another huge game coming up for our guys!

We are still tied with Drexel for the 4th seed in the conference.

We need to keep winning to keep pace with them and it would also be huge to get a win on Tuesday to pull even with George Mason at 10-4 in the conference.
 
A win at GMU is also huge for tiebreaker implications. Since we only play them once we would own the tiebreaker over them which could prove crucial in securing a top 4 seed.

They would just be putting off the inevitable. I would imagine that would be difficult to do though since it is scheduled to be on ESPNU.
 
their reasoning was the travel from philly to dc in snowmageddon would not allow them enough time for whatever they need to do to lose
 
They are calling for 6 more inches Tuesday up there, but it is also supposed to snow on Wednesday also. I'm gonna pack heavy in case I'm up there for a week!

Actually Drexel has the 4th seed as of now. They beat us.

Yeah we need to look at it like we're a 5th seed right now. We would not have a bye if the season ended today. We gotta realize this and play with that kind of urgency at Mason. It's a critical game for both squads and whoever loses likely falls out of the running for a top 4 seed. Then the game against a good Drexel squad at home is a must-win as well.

Mason is all that should be in the players minds right now. Mason is gonna be thinking about that 71-50 crushing in the finals last season, they are on a 2-game losing streak playing for pride, the tiebreaker over VCU, and a top 4 spot. Let's get the win up there. 3 straight losses would demoralize them and the road gets tougher for them after that game. We need to clear teams out of the way if we want to get back up to where we wanna be. No excuses.
