It's On! The Official Beat GMU thread

I'll be there with my NOVA crew, including Dhoesevelt, Gimmeyowhistle, and the famously infamous Merc. Not gonna miss this.

Anyone have an update on the weather?

Cancel my question, the weather tomorrow is calling for :
A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. ACCUMULATIONS: POTENTIAL FOR 5 OR MORE INCHES OF SNOW.

Still basking in the glow of the aftermath of dispatching our hated rivals we must now go and play as pivotal a game as we have played all season. The ramifications of this game will determine how the rest of our season will play out. Lose and we'll scramble for a 4 seed and pretty much eliminate any chance of an at large bid. Win and we will be right there for the regular season championship and the hunt for the one seed. We have played important games this season but none more important than this one.

Just got two spots on the bus as well.

Was just watching the most entertaining show on television, aka the Price is Right, and during a commercial break CBS9 announced that the DC area should expect "significant winter weather" beginning around noon tomorrow and continuing until Wednesday afternoon. Said we could get an additional 8 inches or so in addition to the 20+ we just got. This should make things interesting tomorrow night.

I have an extra ticket in Section 103 for anyone who wants to go and does not have one...send me pm

GMU's only loss at the PAT Center this year was to Dayton by one point. They are undefeated against CAA competition this year at home. They have lost their last two CAA games, both on the road. One of those losses was at GSU where we prevailed. Time to knock them down a peg as we move up. No let down from this Saturdays stellar performance. They will be tough, but I feel our depth and experience will overcome their overachieving. Snow expected to start around noon, temps right at freezing. Eight inches or more expected. Best bet is probably the bus trip. Not sure if they have had time to clear any of the parking lots. If you're going, be safe.

But if you read the actual forecast, it shows most of the bad stuff is after mid-night Tuesday, and hopefully I be at home safe by then. Unless things change (we are talking about weather forecasts  ) I see a few inches by 10 PM, and we should be southbound by then. The farther south we go the less snow and more rain we should see. Hope it holds.

My biggest worry right now is parking. Just hope they have enough open so we don't have to walk a mile like last time. Any suggestions??
