Enough already with the bashing of -- and by -- VCU. It was a perfectly reasonable position on Selection Sunday to either include or exclude the Rams from the at-large field (that, after all, is the very definition of a "bubble" team). I respectfully disagreed with the committee at that time, yet have delighted in VCU's stellar play since. The tournament is all about taking advantage of rare opportunities, and perhaps no team in this generation has done so as well as the Rams. I, for one, am glad to have been wrong and now witnessed arguably the greatest run in modern tournament history. If others (VCU coach Shaka Smart included) feel the need to "rub it in," that's up to them. I think Smart's team has been VCU's most eloquent spokesperson.
