I stole this from the Zone, but thought I'd share:

Enough already with the bashing of -- and by -- VCU. It was a perfectly reasonable position on Selection Sunday to either include or exclude the Rams from the at-large field (that, after all, is the very definition of a "bubble" team). I respectfully disagreed with the committee at that time, yet have delighted in VCU's stellar play since. The tournament is all about taking advantage of rare opportunities, and perhaps no team in this generation has done so as well as the Rams. I, for one, am glad to have been wrong and now witnessed arguably the greatest run in modern tournament history. If others (VCU coach Shaka Smart included) feel the need to "rub it in," that's up to them. I think Smart's team has been VCU's most eloquent spokesperson.

(Props to Duke Dawg for the find!)

Yawn...everybody wants on. The thing was, he NEVER even considered us. We were off his list by Tuesday of Selection week. Glad he's happy.

Can't ask for much more than that. The selection was debatable; what happened after wasn't. Good for him.

Respectfully disagreed?

"VCU couldn't guard me" was respectful? Eat a bowl of...something, Lunardi.

Nice, more bulletin board material for Shaka Smart and the team to feed off of.

Aww, he said that we couldn't play defense and he could guard us but now he doesn't want his feelings hurt. Keep rubbing it in. He was kind enough to disappear after selection Sunday after he got it so wrong, but felt the need to come back and say that. He didn't have us listed as a bubble team by the way, so in his mind it couldn't have gone either way. Watch this video around the 5:30 mark to hear what Coach Smart thinks of Mr. Lunardi. It is one of my favorite clips of this entire tournament.

He still hasn't proven he can score on me in a game of one-on-one.

Until that day where he eats his words, and accepts my challenge, I wont believe a thing he has to say.

I didn't think my admiration and respect for Shaka Smart could grow, but it just did with that clip of him taking Lunardi to task!

I will never respect Lunardi unless he comes to Richmond and plays Pav 1 on 1 at the Stu with the band and the Rowdy Rams and yes Pav gets to wear his horns, after all it's part of his uniform.

get kenny mayne to arrange this...it would be huge...

I would love to see that also! He had us as out and then as 11-12 when we won the auto-bid! He just doesn't like the Mid-Majors at all and will be even harder on a team that proves him wrong! Mess him up Pavarotti!!!

Just want to prove to him that even the least athletic VCU Ram can handle him.

Would even do it for charity, I say the Pauley Heart Center (since after a game to 11, we'd probably both need some cardiac treatment).
