Larry may get the NBA scouts and all of the attention...but Joey is OUR best player! :D

Congrats on an awesome game Joey!

Congrats also go to Bradford and Ed for terrific games!

21 points on 8-12 shooting and 7 assists against 2 turnovers. J-Rod is straight kicking butt.

He looks like he might just be CAA player of the Week this week.

He had 21 points, 6 assists and 2 steals against Hofstra. Both games were on the road.

Not bad for a guy that everyone thought was community college caliber.

That's arguable, but he's certainly getting it done.

I could care less about the scoring, it's the assists/turnover ratio and steals that I love. THAT's his job, and he's doing it. Anything relative to scoring is just bonus money.

Definitely the key to these last 2 road wins - no arguing that ...... great job Joey!!!

In Joey's first 4 games, he had 3 assists or fewer in 3 out of the 4.

Since then, Joey has yet to play a game where he had less than 4 assist in a game, and he's had 5 or more in each of the last 5 games.

THIS is exactly what we've need out of Joey. Fantastic job, leading the league in assists!

At this point Joey is averaging 5.56 assists per game. Leads the CAA. Leader of the Rams.

Can only imagine where we would be without him running the show!

Joey is playing at a very high level right now. We need him to continue in this mode and do the same against the top teams in the conference.

Joey leads the CAA in both assists and steals and as Shaka stated tonight in his post games comments, Joey is just getting acclimated to the point after playing out of position the last two years. In addition to the aforementioned he is really starting to adjust to the new system.

This is not to say that Joey does not have room for growth, he definitely does, only that his progression at the point has been pleasing albeit no real surprise in my opinion. He's a PG all the way. I never understood how people thought he was an undersized 2. Did he look like a 2? I guess so since that's what he had to play because of Eric's presence. No rocket science here.

Again, what we need now is for his progression to continue and for him to demonstrate a high level of play against the leagues premier teams!

Seriously though - - his biggest opportunity is not getting himself caught in the air under the basket with no place to go with the ball. Other than that, the guy's pretty solid at this point.

Joey has been phenomenal. Anyone else who saw the last two games a little shocked seeing Joey's points at the end of the game? From gut instinct I'd have guessed he had around 10 or so in both of them. It never seems like he's taking many shots, but I guess I notice his shots less because his selection is MUCH better than the rest of the team.

I understand what you are saying, but 21 points is nothing to sneeze at. If he can keep shooing efficiently (even if it is not 21 points a night) in addition to the A/TO and steals he is going to be a big time PG over the next season and a half.

I will be the first to admit I was in the "let him leave" camp this summer and I was wrong. He may not be able to lead us to the promise land but we would be rough shape without him right now.

I wanted him to stay if he was in it 100%. Since he decided to leave and then come back I feel like he hasn't looked back once. Sure it created a bit of drama in the spring but if that is what had to happen for him to be sure and be playing with this much focus then so be it. It is kind of ironic considering he came so close to leaving, but in my mind he is one of the most dedicated guys that we have. I would hate to think about where we would be without him.
