So while everyone is talking about potential future recruits I figured might as well restart a thread on Jordan.
I know we talked about him before, when we got Bradford (this is his brother if you didn't realize ;) )

Anyways wondering if anything had any new info on him

ESPN has him as not considering any schools right now..

http://insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recr...ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=72599

Rivals has him listed as receiving offers from both VCU & GMU as of 06/21/2009 not sure if this was pre-shaka i forget when his ERA started so not sure if that offer still stands .

*double post to not clutter OP*

anyways apparently Jordan was named to the Division I first team

http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/s...ball/article/PSTATE30_20100329-222406/333837/

*stats from the year:

averaged 10.8ppg shot only 60% from FT had Two Games of season high 22 pts

game by game points http://projects.washingtonpost.com/hss/schools/arlington/oconnell/boys-basketball/14568/

Seems like Jordan played on a pretty good team tho as he came off the bench atleast some of the games atleast two of his teammates are playing at UNC next year

Really seems like if we keep that offer that he will accept it I think he really wants to come play for us, but well see ..

O'Connel has sent every player they've ever had to play College Basketball at some level. The competition for playing time is going to be the fiercest at a WCAC school and I think he went there to embrace that challenge.

• Jordan Burgess (Richmond, Va./Benedictine) is now in the Class of 2012 where the small forward has a VCU offer (his brother starts for the Rams) and interest from Penn State and Miami.

Spoke with Bradford this weekend and he said his brother is receiving heavy interest from multiple high majors with Miami coming on the strongest. Said Jordan shares the interest in Miami and has them as his frontrunner. Hope we can steal him away before takes his talents to South Beach.

Doesn't Brad have any influence on his brother and steer him to VCU?

Last school year, Burgess played for an O'Connell outfit that defeated Benedictine in the state private-schools tournament at Richard Bland College.

Now Burgess has changed sides.

Reclassified as a junior, the 6-5 Burgess is part of arguably the most talented outfit in Richmond area history - Duke bound Gbinje, UR-signee Davis, Burgess ... and others, including four-yeart starter Erik Moody, who'd be the leading scorer on a majority of high school squads.

Benedictine's John Kuester (UNC), Mark Crow (Duke) squads of early '70s might contest that, however.

Moses Malone might offer another opinion, as well. And don't forget Ed Davis & Benedictine Co, a few years back.

Anyone know if that Davis that siugned with UR is of any relation to Ed (UNC)?

Trey Davis is the son of John Davis, a former UR starting forward

Ed Davis is the son of Terry Davis, former Halifax High, Virginia Union, NBA post player.

Civil right activist Angela Davis is the sister of Ben Davis, a former NFL defensive back and kick returner with with Cleveland and Detroit.

Does anyone remember or know of a Benedictine player who was white and probably around 6'9"? He was my neighbor when I lived on Floyd Ave back in 2005...he was either a junior or senior then...probably a senior. He said he was going to some school in Michigan to play. I wish I can remember his name, but its been a LONG time. He was one heck of a nice guy too, but don't know how good of a player he was. From what I can recall he school he said he was going to didn't sound that great.

Sounds like a nice guy. Unless he went to Western Michigan, then I hate him.

There was a Gordon Kelly, listed at 6-8, around 2000 ... he logged a few double-doubles for the Cadets, but I don't know about any college activity.
