Here's a kid who hasn't been mentioned previously, I believe...

6-1 Jordan Roper of Irmo played his last game of his junior season at USC's Colonial Life Arena last Friday. He helped lead Irmo to the 4A state championship that night. And now, the Gamecocks are showing renewed interest in Roper who averaged over 20 points and 4 assists per game this season. "USC just came back into the picture," Roper said. He has offers from VCU, Tulane, Presbyterian and Tennessee State. Clemson also has been showing interest. "Clemson is trying to see what they are going to do with their 2011 class first," he said. Interest also is coming from Tennessee, Winthrop and UNC Asheville. "I'm just looking for the best opportunity," said Roper who has no timeline for a decision. He has visited USC and Clemson. This spring and summer he will play AAU ball for the South Carolina Hornets.

I have a feeling we will start to see a lot of new names pop up. Guys that were ignoring text messages from the staff will start responding now.

Can't wait to see who comes knocking on our door hoping to get on this train.

He's hitting some seriously tough pull up jumpers in this video. He definitely looks like he has a scorer's mentality. Interesting that he's graded as an 80 and #60 PG, but there's a tab that says he's part of the ESPNU's Super 60 for that draft class. He's got a little bit of Brandon Jennings in his game.

the staff better not be texting anyone. The NCAA has banned the use of text messaging for the purpose of contacting prospects. See Bylaw 13.4.1.2

I am sure they aren't. It was just an example.

LAWYERED!

ESPN's profile on this kid just went from an 80 grade to a 90 and the #14 PG in the class.

I do like how they list us first!

Better hop on the bus now before it leaves the station.

Jordan Ropar has tweeted #VCU after the Purdue, FSU, and Kansas game. On the 21st the day after the Purdue game he tweeted that he had just spoke to Shaka Smart. Maybe ESPN isn't just teasing us.
