Jordann Dumont is a VCU Ram!

Jordan hails from Montreal and has played on the Canadian U19 World Cup team I believe. He had very impressive numbers in high school in Chattanooga, Tenn. and is known for his 3-point shooting. He is a big wing at 6'8" 220lbs. He underwent arthroscopic surgery on both hips which delayed his development at Villanova. He is an upside piece with 3-years of eligibilty. I like the move by the staff.

I think he would initially be a rotational player off the bench. He did start to get more minutes after Jan last season. He shot an impressive 45% from 3 (his primary shot at villi) but he only shot it 22 3-pointers total last season while making 10 of those.
But you never know. This will be his first summer workout due be out in last summer due to the surgery. It will be a bit strange this year. It is almost a brand new team except Jennings, Hill, and Ferm. But summer and fall is going to be like 4-5 month tryout for a starting spot on the team. I think every spot is wide open this year. Not sure I have seen that before.
But Dumont has 3 years left and has the opportunity to step up with a wide open position.
