Keenan Peterson, PF/C – Keep an eye on him. The 6-8 big man could be a guy that schools make a point to see this high school season. With schools at all levels looking for size, Peterson will have a lot of coaches coming in to get a look. With Courtney Brooks (Dwight Howard’s prep coach) as high school coach, Peterson should only continue to get better. Peterson rebounds and blocks shots quite well.

Keenan Peterson (6’ 8, Forward, Banneker, 2010)

Developing Big Man prospect with strong potential. Has only been playing organized ball for a couple of years and is still learning the game. Current strength of his game is now more built around defensive play and rebounding ability. However, he showed glimpses of impressive offensive play in the post and according to his high school coach (Banneker’s Courtney Brooks), Keenan is a hard worker and hungry to improve. His Best basketball is certainly ahead of him.

Keenan Peterson, Banneker – There weren’t a lot of big men at the event and the opportunity to shine in the low post was certainly there for anyone standing over 6-foot-6. Peterson, a class of 2010, certainly stood out. He’s much more of a defensive presence and rebounder at 6-foot-8. Once his offense comes around (and it will under the tutelage of former Southwest Atlanta Christian head coach Courtney Brooks, who is now at Banneker), Peterson could be a player that colleges sneak a peek on in the spring.

Have we been linked to this guy by any of these sites?
if you looked at the links it would show that no one is named with this kid in any of the links. he appears to be a late riser due to his limited time playing the game before now, probably a late recruit like Daniels and Theus ended up being for us. point was just another guy to keep an eye on, especially since our staff seems to be working hard in GA.
