These are the only schools in the top 100 that are undefeated against teams in the top 50 ! Kentucky is 4-0, VCU is 3-0 and UAB is 2-0. You guys dont realize how bad a lot of the big schools are this year. UConn is 0-6 on the road this year, yes ZERO and six. NO road wins. Louisville and OKLA st. are both 2-6 on the road. Ga Tech is 3-6 on the road. That is pathetic. California is 0-4 vs. top 50, Siena is 0-3 and Texas Tech is 1-8. These teams are not all going to get a pass just because they are name schools. If you still think warren nolan is on drugs, check out this report: this guy does his homework:

the Pac 10 is terrible this year. they may not get ANY at large bids. Conference USA is also a possible one bid league only. There are at large bids to be had. The last 5 games of the season will mean a lot. Don't misread what i am saying. I am just the messenger here but this guy has a very solid reputation.

Good stuff. Also consider that 3 out of the 4 number 1 seeds in last years NCAA tourney are in danger of missing the show this season including the defending national champion. That doesn't even include elite 8 participant Oklahoma, but I think we all know about them.

In addition...wiliam and mary is currently 51. As soon as they move up one spot then our record vs. top 50 goes to 4-1. beat odu on the road and we go to 5-1. Do you realize that 5-1 vs. the top 50 would be better than schools like georgetown, pittsburgh, temple, gonzaga, butler, Tennessee and Texas and Ga. tech and ohio state...i could go on and on...5-1 vs. top 50 and make it to the finals and we are in the dance...book it !

True, but those are pretty big ifs. Winning at ODU will be hard enough, but then you have to consider that W&M has a game against towson at home, and on the road against UNCW still, those will hurt their RPI pretty badly, win or lose.

Saturday I was down and felt that there is no way we win @ ODU. But honestly, with anything in life, believing you can and will do something means a lot. People/teams have accomplished great things on just the belief that they could do it.

We should look at ourselves as the underdogs, embrace this role and play with a friggin chip on our sholders.

Great thread Wave....I'm with GetSmart as well. Shaka should use our middling CAA standing as fuel for the fire that will surely burn in each players belly.

Drexel beatdown here we come!!!!!

You realize NU will likely enter the top 50 by the end of the year. Which gives you two losses vs a top 50 team...

We surprised many by beating Duke. Why can't we surprise all of CAA by beating Drexel and ODU and then take the tournament?

darn after reading some of these threads, I'm starting to feel the hype now. We've proven that we can beat (mostly) any team we face if we play first half style ball throughout the game. I can't wait for the tourney. heck I might even tune in to watch the Rams on that dreaded television which I swore to keep off during away games thinking I must be the ultimate bringer of bad luck.
