What Natyazhko must do is not become a star, but a reliable starter. By February or March, it won't be a shock if he becomes the leading Ukranian player in NCAA basketball. So far, that honor goes to Virginia Commonwealth power forward Kirill Pischalnikov, who, as a senior, has had time to work at it.

Krill looks thiner but appears to have a lot more muscle. He also seems more "graceful" on the floor. Is this just my imagination or am I seeing something here?

Not sure about graceful, but his willingness to sacrifice his body and get down on the floor for loose balls did not go unnoticed (as exhibited by his 3 steals.)

He may never be a huge offensive weapon, but he's a valuable asset to the rams!

He looked slow to me - - not sure out style of play suits him well. Still, we need someone like him on the floor for toughness and size...especially when other teams manage to lull us into a half court game...it will happen.

I don't think he was healthy when he played. I recalled reading that he was playing ill at the VUU game. That might be why he didn't start and also why his play was so lackluster when he was on the floor.

All that aside, KP is from Ukraine???? All this time I thought he was Russian.

I guess I should stop yelling..."RUSSSSSIA!" from the crowd...

Yeah, but he's still better than all of the Ukrainians.

Karill has shown us flashes of his athleticism. I seem to recall him leaping over an ODU player to save a ball from going out of bounds and igniting a fast break last year. And how can we forget the famous headlock?

He did look a little sick, and as soon as he came off of the floor for good he wrapped himself in towels which you usually see guys do when they are sick. Hopefully he is ready go to on Friday night and all of the guys stay healthy.

In Soviet Russia you don’t sacrifice your body - your body sacrifices you!

Love ya KP
