Kirill Pischalnikov signs contract St. Petersburg Spartak!

Congratulations to KP as he signed with St. Petersburg Spartak. They play in Russia's PBL.

Other notable players who have played for Spartak include Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko and first-round Raptor's draft pick Rafael Araujo. KP will be playing with former NBA'er Smush Parker (most notably of Laker fame) this year as he also signed a one-year contract with Spartak this month.

Great news for KP one of our most popular player who has more potential then he showed at VCU. This is one tough hombre. Best of Luck KP, represent !

I agree Kiril was one of my favorites. He was a model athlete. He didn't complain gave 110%( yeah i know mathematically impossible but he gave his all) and yes was much better than his stats.

I am very happy for this young fella.

Baller, what level is this in Russia? Is this the same level as LF plays or played?

Never mind I just checked this is the high level of Russian basketball. By the way Lavance Fields of Pittsburg played there last year. Remember him from the NCAA tourney 2007.

Spartak signed the contract with 23-years Russian forward Kirill Pischalnikov. He was in USA during last 4 seasons and played in VCU Rams.

"Pischalnikov is a young player. He needs to have more experience and to adopt to European basketball. But Kirill has a great desire to play, he is strong and has a good body", - the head coach of Spartak Zvi Sherf said.

Looks like their first game will be this Saturday against Efes Pilsen.

Thanks for the update, I'm glad KP still gets to play ball. plus he's gettin' paid and back in his homeland.
