Bucks coach Scott Skiles said he wanted rookie Larry Sanders to get a good run in the first exhibition game.
The Bucks' first-round draft choice came off the bench with 8:25 left in the first quarter and immediately got into the action, scoring five points in the quarter as the Bucks opened their pre-season slate Tuesday against the Chicago Bulls.
The Bucks held a 10-point lead midway through the second quarter before the Bulls rallied behind point guard Derrick Rose and forward Luol Deng. Milwaukee led at halftime, 42-39.
Sanders had seven points and two rebounds in 10 minutes in the half, while forward Drew Gooden led the Bucks with 10 points.
