forget the points, rebounds, and blocks. the most impressive thing about larry sanders tonight was how well he passed the ball in the post. that is exactly the type of thing we need from him, especially when teams are focusing on him. the kid is learning team basketball and didn't force it when it wasn't there. that is very important for any good big man. props to larry.

I feel like we are very fortunate that our guys play team ball like they do. It's a pretty unselfish team. Man, we are beating some decent teams with a couple of our bigs out. Once Skeen and Saintil are back and we have some big man depth we could be REALLY good. We just need to get through the next week or two until those guys are ready.

My only complaint for Larry (and even thats hard to do with the way he played), was we weren't aggressive enough especially against Will Martell. I think Larry could have punished him in the paint and put him on the bench with 5 fouls if we had made a more assertive move to #1 inside.

ALSO NO MORE 3's. Like Anthony Grant used to tell Mike Anderson "They're Fools Gold!"

Larry started the game super-slow tonight. But that only lasted about 4 or 5 minutes. And then... Holy Cow!! The guy was just a BEAST!! I mean, just awesome. Excellent ball game. And he killed the Rhodies.

Larry definitely did his thing tonight! That 3 was smooth and good from the moment it left his hand.

It was the difference in the game. ;)

I love how defenders cover him tightly on the perimeter when he starts doing pump fakes as though going for a three because realistically he can hit some now. It opens up shots for the rest of the team. Honestly I have no problem with Larry going for a few occasionally because it keeps the opponent on their toes.

I agree. An occasional trip out there is fine.

He has hit his quota for the season already then.

As long as it doesn't get out of hand, I have no problem with him shooting out there occasionally. Larry is really starting to show that he's a leader amongst a team that has a few guys that provide an emotional spark

I think what's really doing it for us, if how much our guards and forwards are attacking the basket. Gavin, Nixon, TJ, Joey...those guys are all getting in the lane for some easy buckets. Who's gonna leave Larry to double one of our guards? Seriously?

Kirill also took one of those NO, NO, NO....YES shots tonight.
Kirill knew he had that one as soon as it left his hands. You usually don't even see him that confident when taking a 3 footer.
