Larry tried to be aggressive with Bowles but he couldn't stop him. KP did a pretty good job of defending Bowles while he was in there but then KP's offense was lacking.
It's just odd to me to see the difference between the home and away games vs JMU. Kirill played all of 40 seconds at H'burg and what seemed like 20 minutes here, he did play very effectively vs. Bowles (The kid is gonna get his points, i said he would score 28 before the game started). Just a thought though.

I think Jamie Skeen filled that roll very nicely at JMU though and he was doing very well offensively also. Bowles was really a non factor at JMU by the time the game started to get out of hand. Sure he was getting points in the first half, but we were still building a lead. It seems like it takes Kirill a while to get into the flow of the game. He often makes mistakes early on which lands him on the bench. Even though he didn't score last night he did a great job on overall D as well as pulling down rebounds and blocking shots. Larry seems to be better at keeping guys from driving into the lane rather than matching up with opposing bigs. Maybe it is best to let the wider bodies take care of those assignments.

Bowles 255??? yeah right and I weigh 180...(I Dont trust me)
Ellis said the guy lost like 80 pounds fromo a year ago. That said his stamina is suspect...He gets tired and makes tired fouls...we ran him pretty good. As far as offensive skill set he is one of the better big men I have seen in a long time ...the JMU fans are on his butt big time about pouting and effort etc...unreal.
He is a bad match up for Larry ans he is the protoypical center and Larry is really a 4. Too much mass that is pretty coordinateed and has skills...Next year JMU will be a tough out...

oh u silly billy u... :D

JUM will not be much better than this year if they don't get better on D. They are lazy as heck on D. How many wide-the-heck-open threes did we get? How many points did they allow our 5-9 PG in the lane? Their guards are 6-5. Thaty was the difference in the game.
