LETS GO HOYAS

Well, if ODU were to win, they'd go from the earth spinning out of control to an elite 8 team on the Monarch Nation board. God help us if they win. Me thinks they will lose though - - probably by 10-14 points.
 
Blaines excuse....ummm I mean reasoning as to why they lost (will lose):

"Well the weather really has been a buggaboo for us. Traveling on the bus our guys were having nightmares about being stranded without food and water in a great white out. The stress from that alone has just devastated us. Add to that the winter solstice is nearly upon us. Our teams circadian rhythm is just all turned around now that we are coming up on the shortest day of the year.

Plus Santa called me up and said that two members of our team have been bad and will only get coal for Christmas. I mean Gerald Lee nearly broke down in tears when Santa hung up the phone. Plus when we tried to have morning practice in Norfolk we found out that Santa's elves let all the air out of our practice balls. Then no one on our team could figure out how to blow air back into the balls through that tiny little hole!

Then when we got to DC and pulled into the Patriot Center we found out that our game was not with GMU but with Georgetown. I spent two hours on the phone this afternoon trying to find out where we were supposed to play!

As you can tell, when it don't rain, it ain't shining cause the glass is only filled to the half way point. It's just been a snow cone on a twinkie type of day."

edit...ah it was...just lost the feed and have gone to audio.
 
ODU up by 16 with 14 left in the 2nd.

I'm really surprised that Georgetown would play ODU again after ODU beat them in their gym once already. But kudos to ODU for getting them on the schedule again....and for Georgetown for putting them on their schedule again.
 
Look at that crowd. December 19th, classes are over yet their gym is packed and it is a grey out. Granted it is just 2400 people but still looks good on TV.

It is sort of a slap in the face though when ODU has to play in the georgetown gym and not their arena
