Lindy's has us at the top of the CAA, with Sanders as POY, Theus as ROY, and J-Rod being 2nd-team All-CAA. Sanders is the best rebounder, Rodriguez is the most versatile and the best NBA prospect is Mr. Sanders. 8-)

VCU
ODU
NU
JMU
GMU
Hofstra
UNCW
UD
Towson
Drexel
WM
GSU

All-CAA:

Charles Jenkins
Chad Tomko
Matt Janning
Gerald Lee
Larry Sanders

Jawan Carter
Cam Long
Joey Rodriguez
Manny Adako
Julius Wells

POY - Larry Sanders
Newcomer - Darius Theus
Best shooter - Julius Wells
Best rebounder - Larry Sanders
Best playmaker - Darius James
Defender - Greg Washington
Most versatile - Joey Rodriguez
Best NBA prospect - Larry Sanders

Not sure how greg washington is a better defender than larry sanders, but whatever :)

They can't give us everything, even if we deserve it.

I don't know about the returning and incoming players for W&M and GSU but their head coaches are too good for me to believe their teams will fight for last place in the league.

Even with their big-time suck-up job to VCU, the fact that these boneheads have GSU in last place just shows how little research they must have done before putting out this nonsense.

Even if Harris doesn't enroll until January, I see GSU finishing closer to the top of the league than the bottom. Yet they have UNCW, Delaware and Towson in the seventh through ninth slots?

Tomko first-team all-CAA? Please. The guy doesn't play any defense, is a no-conscience gunner, and I'd take any of those guys they list on the second team over him in a heartbeat.

Unless both Gavin and Rozzell either get hurt or completely forget how to play basketball, Theus isn't going to get enough playing time to be anyone's vote for top newcomer.

And how exactly, is anyone in the CAA considered a better defender than Larry?

Lindy's = Fail

You know that this is a prognostication, right? Though, I do find it amusing that even when ODU is supposedly the consensus first place choice and at a peak year, we still manage to steal the attention.

It must suck to be ODU.

Yep, but if I ran a magazine and hoped for anyone to pay me money for a subscription, I'd certainly try to put forth a better effort than they did. I get no pleasure from VCU being picked first by a publication whose employees have clearly indicated they have no idea what they're talking about.

i agree about tomko. until he learns to play some defense, he should be nowhere near first team. gimme cam long or jawan carter over him any day of the week.

and on another note, i would call joey many things, but most versatile in the entire conference? huh? when i think of versatile caa players, i think of guys like ben finney and julius wells.

Anybody remembers how Lindy did last year?

I think they hit the nail right on the head.

Just a few observations. Not that I really care who finishes 2 through 12, but GSU has been talked up before and nothing ever materialized. I don't think anyone can complain until they actually have a history of doing something, even if it is just slight.

Tomko, a no defenses gunner on 1st team???? Well, if it happens, it certainly won't be the first time that a no-defense gunner made it.

There's something to be said for selecting a team that always seems to find a way to win. Never bet against VCU in the CAA. At least not for the foreseeable future.
