LS1 Sustains Landing Gear Damage

We're gonna know a lot more after next Saturday. These next two are really big. We win them and the rest of the league is gonna start puckering.

I agree, if we win these two (and I don't think anyone outside our fanbase expects us to), then we'll really have CAA teams thinking about us as coming on strong. We'd be the winners of 5 straight with 2 straight wins over 1st place CAA teams. That would be an awesome scenario for us, the team has the talent to make it happen, hopefully they can play up to their ability. This week is a tough test for Shaka, we'll see how he and the team respond.

I wouldn't be as optimistic if we were only relying on one or two guys to carry us, but I've never seen us have so many guys that can make a big impact on the game. We're really impressive upfront - Larry (best in the Conference), Skeen, KP and Terrance are all playing well. The backcourt is coming on with Joey, Ed and Brandon, and you always have Brad as the X factor. He can going along playing solid defense, grabbing rebounds, doing the dirty work, and then he can also go on a scoring spree.

Well, W&M could have three losses by Sunday. They have @VCU and ODU at home next. Two wins for us would be big, really big.

Understatement. They would be HUGE.

I rode back to the Airport yesterday with the Director of Scouting for an NBA team who was at our game. His comments about VCU? That is a really good team. The best player on the team in his opinion.......Joey. :D

That says a lot to me when the guy came to Georgia just to see one player. :o

I guess we can assume you didn't ride with RamKnowledge.

verdict is larry has a strained tendon in his foot...
Well, that is certainly better than a broken bone. Hopefully he will still be able to play even if he is not 100%

ESPN950AM / Greg Burton reporting that he is expected to play

http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/local/article/SANDERSGATER_20100118-154401/318448/

Virginia Commonwealth forward Larry Sanders had a strained tendon in his right foot but is expected to play Wednesday against William and Mary.

Sanders suffered the injury during the first half of Saturday's game at Georgia State. The 6-11 junior leads the Rams in scoring (15.3 points), rebounding (8.1) and blocked shots (3.0).

VCU (4-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association, 12-4) and the Tribe (6-1, 14-3) play at the Siegel Center at 7:30 p.m.

RTD on top of another story in short order!! :)

If you check out Pearall's blog he has been on top of the whole thing since this morning when Larry went to see the doctor. Shaka stated during the CAA teleconference that he expected Larry to be ready to go for Wednesday. Hopefully it won't hamper him too much.

Well Kudos to the RTD once again. They write some nice articles about our guys sometimes, but they haven't really broken much news about VCU basketball lately. This is a nice change of pace. Hope they keep it up.
