Construction will begin next month on an upscale sports bar at the Richmond Marriott.
The bar, which will include an outdoor seating area facing Broad Street and a sports motif, is scheduled to open in mid-August.
The establishment will be named T-Miller's Sports Bar and Grill.
Developers say the name was picked because T-Miller's combines the names of the two landmark department stores -- Thalhimers and Miller & Rhoads -- that once anchored the downtown retail district on the other side of Broad Street.
The Richmond Marriott is in the midst of a $14 million renovation.
Work on T-Miller's is scheduled to start June 15, and developers expect it to be open in time for the start of football season.
