Maybe you fellas are confusing Jim Calhoun with Algonquin J. Calhoun - the fly-by-night lawyer in Amos & Andy. I would doubt that particular Calhoun, who often represented George "Kingfish" Stevens, is much on diagramming a full-court press.

Or perhaps you're thinking of Hollywood's Rory Calhoun, who was a marquee actor (he co-starred with Marilyn Monroe in River of No Return), but probably lacks expertise on how to teach the drop step.

The Calhoun at UConn has two NCAA titles, three Final Fours, 6 Big East regular season titles, 6 Big East tournament titles ... and in '04, Huskies Emeka Okafor and Ben Gordon were picked Nos. 2 and 3 in the NBA draft.

Must be some missed signals floating around about this Calhoun guy ...

Algonquin J is my favorite- I have all the episodes on cd-what a blast they were-Judge says " Mr Calhoun, didn't I disbar you from this court?" Calhoun"so long judge"

Here's my favorite, '70:

Kingfish is on the witness stand, facing charges of infidelity brought by wife Saphire.

District Attorney: "Mr. Stevens, we have a reliable witness who will testify that he saw you leaving the house of Millie Johnson at the 2:30 a.m., with your hat on backyards, your shoe laces untied and your belt unbuckled ... now what do you have to say for yourself?

Kingfish: "Calhoun, aren't you going to object to that line of questioning?"

Calhoun: "Uh, no, Kingfish, I'm kind of interested in seeing how you try and wiggle out of this one myself."

Horn, I swear I can't pick a favorite-everyshow has at least one side buster-think I'll watch a couple tonight-lol
