Didn't know if was posted anywhere: http://blogs.delawareonline.com/college ... appenings/

Delaware’s all-time leading scorer Mike Pegues will soon officially join coach Monte Ross‘ men’s basketball coaching staff as an assistant, having replacing Stephen Stewart.

Pegues spent this past season on the staff at Colonial Athletic Association rival Virginia Commonwealth after a couple seasons coaching at the high school level, which followed a five-year pro career.

The 6-foot-5 Pegues scored 2,030 points from 1996 through 2000 on Mike Brey’s teams that reached the NCAA tournaments in 1998 and ’99 and the National Invitation Tournament in 2000. It’s hard to imagine someone with Pegues’ ability, track record and pleasant personality not having a positive influence on Delaware’s players.

Good luck to Mike.

Perhaps he'll have a bigger role and closer to home but why jump on a sinking ship? Nonetheless, good luck Mike.

Good luck Mike, although I can't imagine they keep Ross after another bad year but hope it works out.

May be losing Mike Jones aswell according to the Link Art posted

sorry I can't find the link, can you fill me in?

It was Jeff Goodman from FoxSports who said that Mike Jones is one of the candidates for the Howard Head Coaching Position. I believe Howard is in the MEAC, but it is a head coaching gig. We'll see how it goes.

Jones also played ball at Howard so its probably more than just a gig for him

Yes, Howard is indeed in the MEAC. Howard is also a very unique job because the school is one of the country's oldest and most prominent Black colleges. They do have a large fanbase despite the losing seasons; Howard has not made the NCAA Tournament since 1991.
