The Seahawks have played like schizophrenics this season. That and some of the comments Moss has made you had to see this coming from a thousand miles away.

You certainly have to wonder how long Pat Kennedy will retain his job at Towson. Of course TU has no history of success to base his performance or lack thereof upon.

My apologies. I did not see the thread about this already posted on the MBB forum

A once proud program has fallen hard and fast. Here's hoping they get it turned around fast.

Why do we hope that? I hope we continue to crush them!

A recent article from the Wilmington paper on the quandries of selecting a new coach. List the pros and cons on either going with a proven head coach or selecting an assistant.

http://hawkshoops.blogs.starnewsonline. ... -question/

Guess their interim coach got stuck in Raleigh on Saturday for their game against Towson. Towson employed a zone and the UNCW shot horribly. No inside game and now they have a freshman center out for the rest of the year. It only seems to get worse for them.

I don't know who UNCW should hire but I think it was a mistake to hire a head coach who was at the asst level a another mid-major university (UNCC I believe it was). UNCW, needs to hire a head coach with at least head coaching experience at a similar level school (another mid-major; see JMU and Marist head coach) or hire from the BCS asst coaching pool.

Neither choice guarantees success of course. But I would like to see UNCW get back up before they take the JMU decade long nosedive - which makes it darn near impossible to get back up from.

I think both Ross and Kennedy need to go at the end of this season also. Our conference and individual schools need to start thinking higher and better. We can't have teams hanging around near the bottom of division I rankings year after year.
