Wondering if anyone has a particular "image", be it an actual photo, video clip, or memory that really sticks out as far as this Final 4 run goes.

A few of many for me...

1) The pure excitement in the faces of our players after that thriller against FSU

2) The video of Shaka jumping up and down after that game

3) Seeing multiple STAR players in tears after going down to VCU

4) And just the memory of walking through the tunnel and into Reliant Stadium...mind blowing.

How about you guys?

1) Having to hold VCU students back from rushing the floor after beating FSU.
2) Seeing how proud the parents were after each game - including/mostly after Houston.
3)Talking with Ed/Joey/Jamie/Coach on Selection Sunday.

Oh, wait... I don't have images of any of that...

That video of Brandon hitting the three right in front of the KU bench. (swag)

My son texting me on Sunday night at 9:10PM as we were dismantling Purdue: " I can't believe this is happening!" Also, my daughter telling me she didn't want to buy a Sweet 16 shirt because they will be printing Elite 8 shirts soon! On a personal note, I recall talking with a fellow Ram fan and his wife in church the morning of the Kansas game and the 3 of us were supremely confident that we were going to win that afternoon and advance to the Final Four.

For me the most memorable moment was the entire Purdue game. Even though Kansas game was the bigger win, watching them totally dismantle a very good Purdue team is still stuck in my memory. 26 assists to 4 turnovers, 57% shooting, and hanging 94 points on a team whose previously worst defensive outing was giving up 87 points to Ohio State!!! My favorite play happened in the 2nd half when Joey was basically running out of boards, but turned around in mid-air like he had some kind of radar and telegraphed a perfect pass to Ed Nixon, who drained the three. I was totally stunned!

I remember calling my son in Washington, D.C. after the Kansas game. When the phone answered, a 55-year old son was bawling his eyes out over the joy of going to the final four and at the other end of the phone was a 77-year old father bawling his eyes out, too. It was one of the most beautiful experiences my son and I have ever had and neither will apologize either! For me it was 43 years in the making--a thrill I shall never forget. By the way, my son had paid all of our expenses for Mrs. H and I to go to San Antonio as a thank you gift for all we have done for him over the years. Mrs. H sure raised a great son!

Dr. Hunt:

You are indeed the greatest Ram fan ever. God Bless you!

4 different VCU Alumni families gathered for each of these games at a house in midlothian, virginia to watch each of the games up until Houston - where we made the treck to Reliant stadium.

For each game, we all wore the same clothes, sat in the same seats, and had the same superstitions for each game. The women were in an adjoining room watching a TV, and the men and kids were in the next room with a big screen TV. We sure lost a lot of sleep over those weeks.

But for us the greatest memory...while I agree the demolishing of Purdue sure comes close, seeing Brandon with his infamous "Stop and Pop" against Kansas and the jawing that ensued is just classic...I mean - nothing like David and Goliath...and David just kicking the living poop out of Goliath. We were absolutely hysterical at the conclusion of that Kansas game knowing we were in the Final 4. Grown men crying like babies. VCU is in the Final 4....that still gives me complete chills.

Is this a dream?

there any many images from this run that stick out in my mind, but without a shadow of a doubt robbie hummel in tears is NOT one of them. i'm sure you guys have read about this kid. he is what's right about college basketball. to see any young man go down not just once but two times with awful injuries is just terrible, not to mention fighting through injuries his sophomore year. that kid would have given anything to have helped his teammates the last two years, but didn't have the chance. THAT is why he was in tears, because he cared.

the purdue and kansas kids in tears (no matter what trash talk was said pregame) is not memorable for me whatsoever. those guys wanted it just as bad as our guys. what is memorable to me is the pure joy on our guys faces.
