Larry Sanders has moved up into the lottery on the draft boards according to the 2010 mock drafts on both NBADraft.net as well as DraftExpress.com.

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2010/

DraftExpress has Larry going 13th overall to the Timberwolves.

NBADraft.net has Larry going 12th overall to the LA Clippers. Interesting to note they have Nevada sophomore Luke Babbitt going 7 spots down at 19 to the Houston Rockets.

It's unbelievable how much Larry has blown up in the last 2 years at VCU.

Can someone go tell Larry to put on 15 more pounds, get better on offense, play out his 4 at VCU and go for #1 overall? Imagine another 1.5 years and 6-11, 240 Sanders averaging about 19 ppg and 14 rpg. He would get so much press it would be silly. It would be nice to have Sanders and Skeen inside as seniors.

Larry's now rated 97, two points better than Ed Davis.

All facebook stalkers should pound his wall with relentless pleas for him to stay next season.

The funny thing is this is all based on potential. He has not, I repeat has not, shown anything near NBA skills this year. He is being pushed off the block on a regular basis, seldom posts up down low and often is out of position for rebounds.

C'mon Larry, don't drink the Kool-Aid. Think how good you could be after one more year in college,

Really? He is one of the leading scorers and rebounders on our team as well as one of the leading shot blockers in the country. You want us to facebook stalk him and try to get him to stay? That is weak sauce. If there were ever a time for good old fashioned stalking this would be it. The day after the season ends (sometime in April I think) we need to have guys outside of his dorm chanting his name and begging him to say. Who can say no to a banana? He won't be ready for that. I would also suggest VCURamNation camp out and do live remotes from outside of his dorm. If he tosses a piece of paper in a trash can on his way to class it needs to be filmed and placed in the top 10 dunks of the month. What is the point in having a posse if we can't get him to stay for his senior year?

Man I would love to see Larry drafted in the top three this spring! That means he and we are having a good time being and watching the Landlord this year!!

What does it matter if "we" think he is ready or not? The scouts want him and that's what counts. Take the money Larry!! Then call Grant and say "Maaaan....now I know how you feel!" :D

From what I hear a lot of scouts aren't that high on him right now......lots of potential but something missing.

Did you have a poker party at your house with only NBA scouts allowed? Do tell how you heard that the scouts "aren't high on him".

If something is missing it's the 2 years he needs to finish developing his skills...just like Maynor needed.

I think if he stays for 4 years he will make much more money in the long run. Of course he would be running the risk that he gets hurt before he gets drafted and he never gets paid. Even at the college level he has a good game right now, but there are so many areas of his game that he can still develop. Even if he ends up having a monster season there will still be things for him to learn by staying another year because he has that much potential. He would likely be invited to every major camp over the summer as well. I think that because he is listed in the lotto on some of these mock drafts that it is a done deal. If he is taken in the lotto there will be a ton of pressure on him to start performing right away. Obviously it is not up to me, but I think the best thing for him to do long term is tear it up this season keep doing what he does well, watch the fouls and stay on the court, and continue to add different elements to his game. Start hitting the weights in the off season, go work out for NBA teams without hiring an agent in the spring and find out what areas he needs to improve on, go to camps over the summer and do the same, then come back in the fall and win a national championship with the VCU Rams before graduating from VCU and being drafted in the top 5 of the 2011 draft.

I fixed your post for you.....you forgot to account for the national Championship we are going to win this year. :D

I'm with rambob on this one. I know he was sick the last game but he certainly has not been the game changing performer that is expected from a lottery pick. I think he will test the waters, similar to what Eric did, and stay another year to keep working on his game. The money will always be there. he isn't even the best player in the CAA right now. Charles Jenkins is averaging almost 20 ppg :o

People are always going to say "What if you get injured?" As a lottery pick he will have a contract with enough money to set himself up for life. We all are biased because we want him at VCU. Larry is going to do what is best for Larry. If he's a guaranteed lottery pick, he's most likely gone.

Everybody on the board would leave in a half second. Go and get yours Larry I know I would
