NCAA and the CAA

We're not losing anymore until the NCAA Tournament.
 
Unless the NCAA committee actually extends the tournament to 96...which might come in a few years...then I could see CAA getting 4 teams.

But that's a fantasy...in reality, I can see 2. Maybe 3 if the committee gives us some slack. VCU, ODU, Mason, heck even Northeastern and Drexel has some wins that could impress the committee. I would like to see more than 1 team from the CAA make it. But don't expect too much...we are the CAA going up against the so called "majors". :)

odu fans are attention whores....they post anywhere and everywhere...classic sign of an inferiority complex that they all seem to suffer.

You seem like a bitter little person. Some people like to talk basketball and seek an outside perspective.....VCU fans led a mass exodus from the Zone because they didn't like what was being said and yet you are calling us little kids?

Let's just talk basketball and leave the name calling out of it?

vcu fans left the zone, not because of what was said about the vcu basketball team, but because of posters like yourself....yet, for whatever reason, you are the person who ends up here. i don't get it.

for years this guy bashes everything VCU and goes as far as calling a VCU fan a kock$ucker but here he is now on this board...dude go the f away...Nobody gives a rat's a$$ about your opinion...get a clue. This guy is like a fat dumb brother in law that comes to visit and never leaves. You and your ilk changed the zone from an interesting place to discuss CAA basketball to a piss- fest dump. If Razor didn't have VCU to talk trash with he wouldn't know what to do with himself. He just about lost it when we left the Zone. Don't ask him to leave. He wouldn't be able to take it.

We get a lot of flack for the exodus of fans from the Zone, and yet no one seems to be unhappy here at all. We traded an inferior product for a superior one. We get more basketball content from Ram Nation than any other CAA team does from the Zone or their own fansites. We are pretty self-sufficient and I don't see any reason that the CAAZone offers anything better than what RamNation does if you are a VCU fan. While I don't get why ODU fans feel the need to post here, I don't mind as long as they are cordial. Razor has been pretty chill and I can tell he's played basketball because he knows what he's talking about when he's not trash-talking. That said, if I want to hear what another team's fans think, I'll go to the Zone.

this place has great basketball talk, some good back and forth humor, some basketball newbies, and some crankly old dudes. its got homers, pessimists, and devils-advocates.

just a better product than the others. plain and simple.

and did i mention that i like the sense of humor around here? i think i did. odu guys seem to think calling someone gay is funny. round here folks are sharp!
 
Personally, I think if the NCAA is going to extend the Tourney they need to go to 128 not 96 because w/ 96 you'll have the Top 32 seeded teams or seeds 1-8 in the 4 brackets all getting the first round off. Im sorry but this is not the NFL where the top seeds get a round off. At least if it goes to 128, everyone has to play an extra game not just the lower seeds.

However, I dont think they should go to 128 because then you're basically letting anyone who was an average team in. I mean if it were 128.... you would have teams like UNC and UCONN (who are clearly horrible right now) that would get in easily.

I think they need to keep the amount the same that it is. What I would do to change who gets in the tourney would be one of the following ways:

1. Rank the Top 65 RPI teams weekly (that includes the one play off game to get in the field) all year long. At the end of the regular season and conference tournaments they get together do one last update and whatever The Top 65 ranked are they get in the Tourney (with RPI #64 and RPI # 65 in the play-in game)

2. Leave it the way it is where the 34 teams that win their conference tourney get in, and then whoever the next 31 highest RPI's make it in.
 
not a chance for all those teams in ncaa.Northeastern lost 6 in a row including a road loss to Western Michigan, Drexel lost odu, kentucky,villanova,and william & mary by 20 or more not to mention barely over 500. George Mason lost to radford and northeastern by 25 points and they have lost 75% of road games. odu the only win that sticks out is a road win vs. gtown. That might be good enough like it was the year they lost by 30 to gmu in semis. vcu has best team, best depth, best coach, and better resume. Especially with 2 wins in a row over odu and gmu. they will finish strong with 25-6 record and face guard Chaisson Allen all night long in finals to take Vcu dancin again. We are the most dangerous team in the caa and i think everyone reading will agree deep down

For the record, I DID call a VCU fan a c*cksucker, but only after he called a girl he THOUGHT was my girlfriend a fat b*tch. But yeah, I guess that makes me a bad guy?

And like I said, the Zone is one thing, but on YOUR board, I've tried to be respectful.
