New Hofstra Coach Tim Welsh charged with DWI

According to police, Welsh was driving his 2006 Lexus in Levittown about 1 a.m. when an officer noticed he was stopped at a steady green light at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and N. Bellmore Road. The officer pulled Welsh over on suspicion of DWI and issued a Breathalyzer test, which Welsh failed.

Police took him into custody and charged him with misdemeanor DWI.

Looks like he's getting off on the wrong foot over there on Long Island.
