News News About RAMS In The Pros

He dressed. And played, for 27 seconds at the end of the first half. His only stat was a blocked shot on the presumptive MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Weird, I started watching in the 2nd half and saw him on the bench with pants on. They should've played him more, especially with Ja out.

Former HC fired. New regime doesnt seem to value Vince.
The ensuing exhaustion was clear.
Drives us nuts and has for quite some time, seeing a coach play exhausted players who flip a switch in shooting and defense and they just keep playing them when you know damnedwell there are efficient, effective players on the bench with fresh legs, who can and WOULD help and they won't put them in. It's been the way since watching Troy, Tre, Bri, Bones, Vince. Some hardheaded coaches and front offices must love losing.

It might have more to do with the fact that Vince only played 27 games this year with two significant injury absences. Tough to get any rhythm and chemistry in a season like that for a role player and teams usually tighten the rotation for the playoffs anyway. To your point though, the interim coach was brought in last summer— I doubt he has seen much of what Vince can do or maybe he is less impressed than Taylor. Either way, I think Vince will get back on track next year…..sort of hoping it’s away from Memphis.

Vince looks as if he had a solid game in defeat. He was +8 only one other guy on the team was + for the night.

More importantly he was in the mix late in the game. Vince hit two meaningful 3’s at the end of the game during the Grizz’s furious comeback. My only question is why the Coach kept Offense and Defense subbing when Vince (the better defender) had a hot hand at the end?

In any event 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal and 0 turnovers in just 18 meaningful non garbage minutes.

If Vince can stay healthy next year and he can give the Grizz this kind of production, he will get a new k in the 8-10 million range. I am pulling for him. Then we can begin to ask about those donations. heck maybe we make him a honorary GM or something.

Also, I am hopeful for Bones next year as well. I dont know how he got “here” but his here. Right or wrong he has to simply shut up and play. It may hurt but a lot is on the line.

I was building a large shade shelter for the kitties for summer and wish I'd have seen it. Really bummed that's it for him for the season.

The NBA is partially about entertainment using their star players. Not many, besides us VCU homies, come to see Vince, Bones, Bri play especially during playoff time. NBA is tough, probably the toughest gig in pro sports for fringe players.

I get this, Vince is the nitty gritty guy who just goes out and does the things that help his team to win, not always exciting.

Bri on the other hand had the capabiltiy of making the game exciting, entertaining on D.

Bones is one of the most entertaining players to come into the NBA recently, unless the backroom politics of the game has just worn his enthusiasm down to nothing. The guy is simply fun to watch, always has been. Given the chance he'd put butts in seats and have people turning on their TV, phone, computer to watch. Given the chance.
