With a little luck and 9 more conference games to play, we can still earn a good position in the CAA tournament. Having that Friday off is huge.

Yeah, it kinda is.

Don't get me wrong, we can still mathematically finish higher, but this may be more realistic.

Yeah I think u are on target but wow we are competing with Drexel.

We are 6th now. Our best hope is for W&M to tank a few and for us to go on a big run. Drexel will certainly drop some games. Gotta root for ODU against W&M today. ODU beating W&M would put W&M and Drexel at 6-3 right in front of us.

Doesn't surprise me, we've already lost to Drexel once this year. I say we set our goals EXTREMELY low for Shaka so that he can actually achieve them. That said, we should aim for 5th place in the CAA. We're one game out of it so we need to beat Drexel on 2/16 at home. Combine that, a perfect finish, and another loss somewhere for Drexel... we can do it!

Just hope the coliseum doesn't collapse and force the tourney to be played far away cuz we're screwed then.

I think you are right about Drexel, and we have them at home next month.

We still have two games against ODU this season. They also have W&M twice and games against NE and GMU. I'm not ready to root for ODU yet :D

I was hoping to fly in on Saturday and avoid any Friday hotel room rates. ;)

As of this very second (obviously things will change in a couple of hours when the days games are done...) our conference tournament path would go through Delaware, George Mason, Old Dominion, then Northeastern (if all the top seeds won out). Could you imagine having to win those 4 games in 4 days?

I'm not saying our season is over because it definitely is not, we still could win the tournament... but it looks like this may be the year that we prove our recent success at the CAA tourny is NOT due to the location of the tournament. The whiners will continue to argue otherwise, but anyone with any common sense will realise it isn't the case.

Wow, that would suck.

As some others have expressed in other threads, we will likley still finish in the top 4. We are one of the 4 best teams. Don't worry about Drexel. They are not as good as their league record indicates. Out of the current top 4, I think Mason is the most likely to fall out. What have they done? They are not that good. W&M may have some problems too, but I'd like to see them in there. They deserve it.

I can see a scenario where we go 12-6, get the 4th seed and NU will still come here and beat us, quite simply, there are a better team than us, until we get a half court offense they will continue to win, our only hope is not to see them again
