GSU just played Mason to the wire at the Patriot Center and VCU is going into a basically-empty Sports Arena on the road in Atlanta. Road games in empty gyms have seemed to haunt the Rams so far this year. Can they turn the page on Saturday? Thoughts (other than VCUbanana's obligatory JUST WIN comment)?

GSU always seems to give us some trouble at their place. That said, I don't think they beat us once during the Grant administration. From what I remember though, they like to throw a lot of junk defense's at opponents to keep them constantly off-balance. This will be a pretty good measure of offensive scheming for Coach, as he will likely have to make continual adjustments throughout the game. It will also show a lot of determination by our guys if they can keep their cool, not get frustrated, and make good decisions.

Great point Marcus. This will likely be a game that will require continuous adjustment. I feel like we have the bench and personnel to keep up with those adjustments. What GSU did in Fairfax last night was certainly impressive, but unfortunately for Panther fans the rally beard doesn't count moral victories. This one is big for us though. With a win we can break .500 in CAA play and on the road for the first time this season, as well as give my rally beard more time to grow in. Let's go.

We won on the road @ Hofstra in CAA play.

Sorry if I didn't word that right. We are 3-3 in CAA play, and 3-3 on the road this season. A win in this game would push us past .500 in each which we haven't been so far this year.

I recall barely when Dana Kirk was coach and the team went to Atlanta to play Georgia State. We had a long winning streak at that time and George State upset us. At a luncheon Dana recited the verse to "The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia" by Reba McEntire. Ram4life, do you remember?

According to Shaka on the radio show, the game is nearly sold out down there... Go figure! And we won't be able to see it on TV.

Sounds like GSU hired Richmond's ticket guy.

THIS Ram is heading to Atlanta for the game! So at the very least, I hope there's more than myself and the 3 people I'll be with who are Ram fans, if it's almost sold out! :|

One of the freshman is from Atlanta, so he'll have a group of people cheering for VCU. I'm too lazy to look it up.

I am taking three folks with me and I have four other friends driving down. If they sell out, it will be the first time that I can remember (I think Coach Smart is being set up by the folks at Georgia State). If they do sell out, there is hope for a sell out at Northeastern!
