I'll be the first to say that Big Al's show is typically not relevant or very good, but I do enjoy occasionally getting the chance to listen to his segment with the Sunshine Boys during basketball season. Anyway, they said this am that CM Newton, chair of the NIT selection committee is going to be on the show on Wednesday morning. It sounds like they've already penciled in a few questions, including the obvious one about our exclusion.

In addition, I'm hoping to hear how UNC got a 4 seed, and W&M a 5. As much as everyone knew W&M wasn't going to get a NCAA bid, there were still some people throwing their name out there. So, you mean to tell me that there were 16 other teams (1-4 seeds in NIT field), that had a better resume than W&M?

Of course, our own argument would appear to be unwarranted if we lay and egg against GW.

Anybody really expecting anything other than B.S. from C.M. Newton?

Certainly not, and after seeing/hearing him talk on ESPNU the other night, I almost expect to hear dueling banjos playing as his intro music! :P

Well, it is Big Al, so some banjo wouldn't surprise me.

nobody on that show will challenge Newton...softball questions I am sure

Red Booker might ask the hard question. Sometimes he has a "don't give a darn what they think" attitude.

Unfortunately often he has no clue what he's talking about. Like his comment about Mason always giving us trouble in the CAA tournament. What?????????

Well the score was closer than when VCU played them in the CAA tourney last season if that counts for anything.

He said that any VCU fan that lives in NoVA and don't go to the game tonight should have their fan card revoked!
