ODU Police Mace Students

Norfolk, Va. - At 10:00 last night hundreds of ODU students rushed into the library to party as part of a quickly organized flash mob.

A flash mob is a group of strangers who use Facebook, Twitter or texting to gather and have a loud rowdy party.

Organizers say it is a way to break up the stress of studying.

An ODU spokeswoman told NewsChannel 3 no arrests were made and no students were pepper sprayed, but video on the flash mob's Facebook fan page clearly shows officers pepper spraying students in the library.

Who can blame them. I am sure at some point we have all wanted to mace an ODU student.

I think JMU did a much better job of pulling this off.

I usually have many more problems with the old odu alumni than the students though.
