Jim Corrigan is a gem among CAA assistant coaches.

Instrumental in signing both Georgetown home/homes, which have proven VERY beneficial to ODU, but now have a Home/Home with Missouri, starting in Mizzou this year. That gives ODU home dates this year with Dayton and Georgetown, and next year with Northern Iowa and Missouri.

Away OOC wins are great, but nice to get the opportunity vs BCS squads for the home fans to see high-level competition.

Let's hope other top CAA programs get the chance, and capitalize as well as VCU did vs Oklahoma last year......

Smitty, let's hope some pay back is in order. A win on Mizzou's home floor would be a nice bump in the pussycat's RPI and indirectly for the conference.

Jim-

I agree. We played so poorly against Mizzou in San Padre that they may be a little complacent. However, similar to your situation without Sanders, we should be just fine next year.

Not sure if we are benefitting from good timing or good connections, but these BCS home and homes are great for the fans.

BTW, if things fall correctly, we could get a shot at Anthony Grant's Alabama squad in St Thomas this year..

A very interesting matchup indeed. Hope it's onTV.

Hopefully Mizzou runs ODU out of the gym in both games

FODU

also waiting to hear from the BCS schools won't face good mid major schools

Sorry, but I always will root for a CAA team--which ever is the team--when they are playing outside the conference. Nothing pleases me more than to see a CAA team beat another team from another conference. We can only be a strong conference when the CAA teams dominate out-of-confernce teams. Not understanding this concept is detrimental to the conference. It basic, guys for building a strong conference.

gave up on that idea years ago...aint gonna happen in my lifetime...and I am not that old. The CAA is what it is...average at best.

At the end of the day, my rooting for ODU to lose every game and fall off the face of the earth has no bearing on the outcome of any game or their season. Just like you rooting for them to win has no bearing on any future outcomes.

And plus it sounds nice but the CAA will never be a strong conference...you can clearly see the separation getting worse between the haves and the have nots. 20 years from now if ODU is still in the CAA it will be Mason, ODU & VCU fighting for the championship and 9 other donks that don't really have a shot

It couldn't be more obvious in regards to the seperation of teams in the conference...you can just go ahead and look at the last 7 conference champions alone...VCU, ODU, UNCW, VCU, GMU, VCU, ODU

I can also relate to those who say FODU even if its for OOC games...personally, you will never find me going out of my way to root for the rams.

heck...you wont find me caring enough to even go read their message boards ;)

Dog, are you sure your not Hewoodulovemeblowme69 on that new basketball board over at gofodu.com? He has some biting commentary as well.

Really? You're not interested in what we might be saying about you guys over on MonarchNation? Thats the only reason why I come on here....

Not really.

I think I might be the only Ram poster who posted on that site and that was only to share recruiting information. I haven't been back since then. I think Rick posts there on occasion but he rarely posts on here for that matter. No one else really cares and I'm really kinda surprised so many ODU fans are monitoring our every move from the interactions I had with ODU posters there. It seems kinda dumb to worry about what fans of ODU think of VCU, especially when it's really quite predictable. ie. VCU sucks/Richmond is a dump/Sanders(insert VCU player) sucks/ VCU only competes with us because of the rivarly and so on and so forth. I could have told you that was what you would be saying without ever clicking the site.

I imagine it would be the same for you just reading FODU most of the time whenever ODU does come up, (which is not nearly as much as VCU comes up on MonarchNation from what I saw when I was there). It just seems rather pointless. I mean when we play you, I'll probably take a look at your boards to see what you guys are saying. Otherwise I honestly don't care about ODU all that much. Maybe it's just me.

I mean you, Razor and Smitty are pretty regular posters on here. I don't think you'll find any VCU posters that post with that kind of frequency on your boards. I have no problem with you being here since you guys are pretty respectful, but I honestly couldn't care less if you ever post here again. I don't mean that maliciously, I just simply don't care much what an ODU fan thinks outside of the 2 or 3 days we play you during a year.
