Anybody know if there's a way to watch WSKY in Richmond, so I don't have to go to Williamsburg and pay $ to watch the pussycats play waste management.

Some of you may disagree with me on this one...but ODU really helped us out with that win over W&M tonight.

Now the Tribe and Drexel are just a game up on us each for that 4th place spot. We've got some tough games ahead, but so do they..

W&M
5 road games including @ ODU and @ Mason
then home games against Drexel (somebody has to lose), and Northeastern.

Drexel
5 road games including @ NU, @ W&M, @ VCU
+ Mason at their place

make it a reality series.....there are so many subplots ...like Flounder said in Animal House ..."This is great!!!" (VCU alum BTW)

A capacity crowd packed the Kaplan Arena Saturday to watch William & Mary take on Old Dominion.

WILLIAMSBURG - On its largest stage in 17 years, William and Mary came within one extra rotation of a big chance for one of its biggest wins. A crowd of 7,216, the most to see a CAA game at Kaplan Arena, watched David Schneider's off-balance 3-point try at the buzzer circle the basket, then fall off the right side of the rim as Old Dominion held on for a 58-55 victory Saturday.

The win was the seventh in a row for ODU (16-5, 8-1 CAA), the league's stingiest defense, which held the Tribe, shooting 45.5 from the floor, to an 18-of-54 performance (33.3 percent). The loss, in front of its largest home crowd since 1993, was the second straight for William and Mary (14-5, 6-3 CAA), which had tied the best record in the 105-year history of the program with a 14-3 start.

Holy crap that's more people than have been at every game I've seen in Williamsburg, combined.

parking had to be fun.

Urgh I can only imagine. It reminds me of U of R's parking lot set up. One small road leading to and from the main parking lot. For being in a city parking on a VCU gameday is pretty dang good.

Well, if you want to get technical, each school has two two-lane roads leading into and out of campus.

First of all, there were more than 7000 people there. Most people are estimating about 9,000, 3000 or which were ODU fans.

Secondly, parking was terrible, we sat in a parking garage for 45 minutes before even being able to pull out, then took forever to get to 64.

Well worth it though for such an exciting win.

I sure don't see all that much blue in the picture above....not even in the top right behind the ODU bench!

Where is the parking garage? I've always just parked in the lot out front of the arena there without much of a problem.

Parking garage is quite a ways away. It's on the other side of the tiny little bridge into campus.

And for certain there were at least 3000 fans there. Ask W&M fans, one 1/4 of the stadium was blue with scattered ODU fans all around the arena.

i will comment on one thing about the Kaplan....with the crowd at that game they had a curtain and stands at the endzone which is the visitors end in the second half. It gives the shooters a sense of normal backdrop as far as depth perception goes. VCU didnt have that and i think it should be the same for every game. They should have had the curtain and the stands for each and every game...you shoot at the "normal" end for one half, then you are shooting at a basket that has no backdrop and you feel like you at the RCA Dome inthe second half...
