22-5 not sure how I feel closing at ODU L probably not including bracketbuster either

Think we may have one or two clunkers along the way

Yes I know Im a homer but I won't be as bad as the guy who has us going undefeated

Good prediction...no way we loose to Hofstra or UNCW....just my opinion...other than that I could go with this..... :ugeek: :ugeek: :ugeek:

Prediction looks pretty dead on to be honest. You have to throw in some in conference slip ups. They always happen. The only game I would really say looks a little funny is the Oklahoma game. That will be a tough win to get when they have arguably the best shooting guard in the country in Willie Warren and a top notch freshman PG in Tommy Mason-Griffin. I do think that Larry Sanders will dominate Keith "Tiny" Gallon. I just don't think VCU has an answer for a guy like Willie Warren though. Being at home may keep it close for a little bit but Oklahoma wins by at least 15.

We've got some snappy defenders on the squad that will be in Warren's face, especially at home. No way Oklahoma beats us by AT LEAST 15!!!!

Willie Warren will be guarded by TJ this year. He didn't play last yr. He can D up anyone if he puts his mind to it!

This is the hardest team to predict results for in recent memory because of all that's happened since March.
AG Out Shaka IN
Maynor gone
JRod gone
JRod Back
The AG-Larry flirtation
The Eblen-Vilarino drama
Late Recruiting
Lance Junk
Franck leaving

I think winning 20 games would be a pretty tall order. I'm hopin' we'll repeat....but I'm sure we'll be a helluva lot closer to the top then the play-in game (as some dubius d-bags pronounced).

Big Brother is Watching!

That was the catch phrase in George Orwell's novel, Nineteen eighty-four.

In that case, Big Brother represented the intimidating presence (total surveillance) of a larger, more powerful force - to be totally feared, with serious consequences to consider.

At VCU, Larry Sanders is Big Brother, and he'll be watching in 2010. You can can almost hear the frazzled nerves twitching, knees knocking, of the Rams' upcoming foes.

Consider: In the last six games (after loss in Reno) of '09, here's what Rams' foes managed vs. Big Brother & Co. Remember, the "d" in Sanders stands for Defense.

JMU 18-50 FG 32 percent
Ga St 18-54 33.3
GA St (tourney) 18-51 35.3
ODU 16-50 32.0
GMU 18-59 30.5
UCLA 21-52 40.4

That's about how you shoot when you're trying to locate the basket with one eye, and looking over your shoulder, with scared eyes, with the other. Big Brother is everywhere, man.

It's a good point, Horn. Ren Watson was a big reason for a lot of blow-out wins back in the day. Other teams just couldn't score.
